Human Resources Job Opportunities at URSB

a) Advises management on human resource issues and spearheads in the development and
implementation of a human resource management and developmentstrategy.
b) Develops human resource management and administrative services policies, procedures
and manuals for management’s approval, and provides guidance in their implementation
and review.
c) Plays a leading role in the recruitment and selection and placement of qualified and
competent staff.
d) Prepares employment appointment letters and contracts for new staff and those for
e) Designs and runs appropriate orientation and induction programmes for all new staff of
the Authority.

f) Participates in the annual operating plans and budgets of URSB and ensure
implementation of the same for HR and administrative services.
g) Coordinates and advises on the performance appraisal of staff according to existing
policy and guidelines and liaises with other heads to develops staff appraisal summery
report outlining staff development and training plan for the ensuing period.
h) Provides supervision of t he department and carries out staff performance appraisal in
accordance with the HR manual.
i) Provides guidance to both management and staff on all matters pertaining to welfare,
industrial and employee relations including terms and conditions of service.
j) Develops and implements systems and procedures that facilitate delivery of efficient
and effective office and administrative service to internal and external customer.
k) Ensures that staff take their annual and other leave entitlements as established by policy.

Job Requirements
a) An honors’ degree in Social Sciences, Human Resource management a related
b) A Master’s degree in a Human Resource Management is an added advantage.
c) At least 8 (eight) years of experience in a HR managerial position in a large and busy
organization 4(four) of which should have been at senior management level
d) High level of integrity
e) ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
f) Good computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
g) Knowledge of and ability to interpret labor laws
