Job Title: Assistant Commissioner, Law Revision

1. Deputizing for the head of department, Law Revision Department.
2. Coordinating law revision projects and activities.
3. Developing staff development strategies.
4. Coordinating and overseeing development of work plans and budgets for the
5. Overseeing provision of technical assistance to government ministries,
departments and agencies.
6. Supervising, guiding and appraising subordinate staff.
7. Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

1. An honours bachelor’s degree in law from a recognised university and a diploma
in legal practice from an institution recognized by the Uganda Law Council.
2. A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant working experience, of which three (3)
should be in legislative drafting at the level of Principal in Government or
equivalent experience from a reputable organisation.
3. A minimum of certificate training in legislative drafting.
4. Possession of computer skills.
5. Knowledge of project planning and management.
6. A relevant masters’ degree will be an added advantage.
